Purple Heart Walking Park

Enjoy a walk or run on our 1/2 mile concrete path. Our walking park is designed for leisure strolls, brisk walks, joggers, and runners. Its 8 foot width will easily accommodate strollers. A children's playground is conveniently located near the walking path.

Along the path you will find 13 exercise stations compliments of the Beauregard Memorial Hospital and 6 sitting benches for your comfort and convenience. Bring your fishing pole and fish in the 2 1/2 acre pond which is on the north side of the park. The 8 foot wide concrete walking path winds through numerous varieties of native timber species and is securly fenced and well lighted for those who prefer nighttime exercise.

Located at the intersection of US 171 and HWY 190 on the east side of the overpass, the 19 acre park is a joint venture of the Beauregard Parish Police Jury, Louisiana Department of Tranportation and the South Beauregard Recreation District No. 2.
