There are no bad days at this wonderful lake home. Rest, relax and enjoy the peaceful beauty of this beautiful spot on the lake. Have your breakfast and coffee on the wharf and watch the sun rise, then in the late afternoon bring your coffee to the front porch and watch the sun set. My favorite spot is the master bedroom where you can watch the sunrise from your bed.

For lunch you can fire up the BBQ pit and enjoy a burger by the lake in the swing. After the sun has set you can collect some fire wood and head for the fire pit and enjoy the fire by the lake or you could try a little night fishing on the wharf under the light. You might even take a night time spin in the paddle boat and watch all the lights from the lake.We want you to enjoy everything about our lake home and we will do what ever we can to make your stay the best ever. Our lake front home is only 15 to 20 minutes from the Ouiska Chitto river which has several places you can take canoes out for day trips. You will enjoy the beautiful white sand and clear running water along with the wildlife, you can have a shore lunch,do some fishing, take a dip or just sit back and enjoy the sights. After your river excursion you can continue on for 15 to 20 minutes to the Coushatta Casino Resort and with lots of excitement and plenty of good food and fun, If you want you might even take in a round of golf at Koasati pines golf course. There are 2 more very nice casinos in Lake Charles about 1 hr away. If you like to relax and fish from the bank you can take a trip to the Sunrise Catfish Farm just 10 to 15 minutes away they have poles and bait available with 6 ponds to choose from they also have a small menu and a eating area with ice cream, and if you would like they will clean your fish for you. Just one hour to the north and you will be at Hodges Gardens where you will find some of the most beautiful gardens around this area. Nature trails, cabins, boats, and campgrounds are available, or you can tour in the car if you like. The 225 acre lake and the waterfalls in the garden area make this garden a must see spot for those who love gardens. On your way to Hodges Gardens you might want to stop by and check out the Fort Polk Leesville area the home of our brave soldiers. Looking for a Cajun restaurant Just one hour to the east and you will be in the heart of Cajun country there you will find DI's Cajun Restaurant complete with real Cajun food and a Cajun band with a dance floor built for Cajun dancing, lots of food & fun available there. If you are looking for a New Orleans style restaurant then Cecil's Cajun Kitchen is only 15 to 20 minutes away in DeRidder. They also have live music.Travel to the north west 40 minutes and you can rent tubes and float down the sabine river this can be a great time lots of fun and affordable. If you are looking for a quiet day just grab your pillow and head for the screen porch or the sun room and sit back and watch the herons, loons, and egrets playing around the cypress trees, and you might even see a gator or a pelican if you are lucky,or you could take the paddle boat for a spin. You might even want to pull up a chair and night fish under the light at the end of the wharf.
