We offer night lantern tours on select Friday and Saturday nights. Upcoming Lantern tours will be posted on our 'Gothic Jail After Dark' Facebook page, reservations for those dates can be made by private messaging the page.
$25.00/person for Lantern Tours
We limit our Lantern Tours to 20 people per tour to provide a more intimate/personalized experience.
We ask that you arrive 15 mins early for registration.
Each tour will consist of a guided historical tour of the DeRidder Gothic Jail. The lights will be turned down with the only source of light being from flashlights and lanterns. (We do provide the flashlights, but you are also more than welcome to bring your own.) We will share ghost stories and our own personal experiences from within these walls. Once the first half of the tour is complete we will give you the opportunity to roam the corridors and cells on your own for the remainder of the tour.
We strongly urge the use of still photography or videography as you explore the Gothic Jail. For our paranormal hunting guests…. Voice recorders, K2, etc. are also welcome.
We however “WILL NOT” allow the use of Ouija boards or other summoning methods within our jail.
