Joe Joslin

I am a member of the American Alpine Club as well as the American Hiking Society.

My CPR certification and state licensed emergency medical responder training are all up to date.  I am an industrial rope rescue team member.  I continually train Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for self defense. Much of my free time is spent as a fitness instructor at Performance Evolution. I grew up in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Being a plant and wildlife enthusiast, I have studied and admired them for years and I look forward to sharing that with you.

I have been lucky enough to have hiked in all of the major national parks in the U.S. I have countless crazy adventures under my belt, adventures that seem beyond belief. I have been dropped off by a boat in the fiords of the New Zealand wilderness to climb Mitre Peak. I have been dropped off by an old steam train in the Colorado wilderness to hike and camp in snow.  I continue to be in amazement of the beauty and adventure our planet holds.  I have hiked overnight to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back, through the Native American village of Havasupai.  The most remote village in the lower 48 states.  I have camped and climbed the famous Half Dome, via the cables down route, in California. I have climbed four Colorado 14ers (14,000 ft./4268m+ peaks); Longs, Snowmass, Wetterhorn, and Redcloud. Numerous overnight trips on the Appalachian Trail. Hiked the Narrows and Angels Landing in Zion. Kayaked for 3 days and 2 nights down the Calcasieu River all by myself, without the knowledge or help of anyone doing it before me.  I have been lucky enough to compete in sailboat and dragon boat races. I once repelled down the side of the waterfall Pino Blanco, on the slopes of Volcano Arenal in Costa Rica.  I have been a course tester and have competed on American Ninja Warrior.  My mosaic of experiences has made me fit to share the great outdoors with you.
