Merryville



Merryville is still the only other incorporated town in Beauregard Parish.

Merryville is home to the annual Pioneer Heritage Festival. This festival is held the last weekend of March on the grounds of the Merryville Museum. The festival celebrates the history of Merryville, the No Man’s Land, SW Louisiana, SE Texas with invinsance on the late 1800's and early 1900's. The Heritage Festival is a two day event on a Friday and Saturday and includes a parade, old west re-enactments, live entertainment, carnival, exotic animal petting zoo, antique car show and a wide variety of food, craft and merchandise vendors. Museum members are proud host of guided cross country cyclist and many individual/small group cyclist traveling along the lower southern tier cross country route. Cyclist are offered a small cabin with a fold out couch bed, AC/heat, fridge, coffee pot and charging station. Or cyclist can tent camp on the grounds or on an off the ground stage area.
